Hanoi, Vietnam is our next destination for our scheduled group tours. The scheduled day of departure is September 12, 2012. As usual, the deadline for acceptance of participants to this tour is August 12, 2012. Anybody who has access to the five (5) selected airports of Manila, Iloilo, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro and Davao can join this tour.
Interested persons may also choose their own tour dates, as long as plans are finalized (or payments made) at least 45 days before their own scheduled day of departure. We require a minimum of two persons since hotel accommodation is twin-sharing.
A. The Destination
HANOI is a fascinating blend of East and West, mingled with Chinese influence from centuries of Chinese dominance, and French design from its colonial past. The modern architecture that started in the 1970s did not erase its beautiful and colored past. Ha Noi, was the name given to the city by King Minh Mang way back in 1831. Ha means river and Noi means within. Thus, Ha Noi literally means within the river.
Throughout the thousand years of its eventful history, marked by destruction, wars and natural calamities, Hanoi still preserves many ancient architectural works including the Old Quarter and over 600 pagodas and temples. Famous sites include the One Pillar Pagoda (built in year 1049), the Temple of Literature (built in year 1070), Hanoi Citadel, Hanoi Opera House, and President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum.

B. Package Inclusions
We only have one available package for our Hanoi, Vietnam tour: the 4 days/3 nights package. 3 days/2 nights packages, like in our earlier posts, are not available.

1. Round trip airfares from Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Cebu, Iloilo or Manila to Hanoi, Vietnam and vice versa.
2. A tour guide to meet you at the airport
2. Round trip transfers from Hanoi international airport to hotel.
3. Hotel accommodation at Hanoi Boutique Hotel.
4. Daily breakfast.
5. Hanoi capital city tour (with a tour guide).
You will visit downtown, reminiscent of a French town, with narrow tree-lined alleys, pass by various government offices, the preserved colonial French residences and the lakes of Hanoi. You will visit the mausoleum of former President Ho Chi Minh, the one pillar Pagoda, the centuries old temple of literature, and a few other attractive places. Free lunch at a nice local restaurant is included in the package.
a. It is standard practice in the industry that no tours are scheduled on the day of arrival and the day of departure. Thus, you can use these free times to either walk around nearby, rest, buy souvenirs, or do what you want to do.
b. Incidental expenses that are not listed in the inclusions are chargeable to the pocket money of tour participants.
